The American Historical Association
Announces
The Waldo G. Leland Prize
for 2016
This prize, established by the AHA Council in 1981, is offered every five years for the most outstanding reference tool in the field of history. It is named after Waldo G. Leland, a distinguished contributor to bibliographical guides, who served as secretary to the Association from 1909 to 1920. "Reference tool" encompasses bibliographies, indexes, encyclopedias, and other scholarly apparatus. The award is honorific.
1. For the 2016 award, works with an imprint dating from 2011 through 2015 will be eligible for consideration.
2. In addition to sending a copy of each prize entry to members of the selection committee, please complete the Data Collection Form at the link below. One form must be completed for each entry. Fields marked with a blue star are required.
3. One copy of each entry must be received by each of the following committee members. Entries must be postmarked by or on MAY 16, 2016, to be eligible—late entries will NOT be considered. Submissions are NOT returned.
