Guidelines for Member News
In order to celebrate the remarkable achievements of historians, beginning in September 2015 we are expanding the News section of Perspectives on History to feature our members' accomplishments, reflect on the variety of ways in which historians educate in different contexts, and explore the ways in which historians form and participate in different communities. Please share with us news of your or others' achievements, including prizes, promotions, honors, tenure, and new jobs, at email@example.com. All approved announcements will be published in the Member News section of our website. From these, we will select and feature one historian, or a group of historians, in Perspectives on History each month.
When submitting a nomination, please include both your name and the name(s) of your nominee(s) as well as your affiliations, e-mail addresses, and a description of the nominee's accomplishments. Please use the subject line "Member News."
All submissions accepted for publication will become the property of the American Historical Association and will be subject to the copyright policies of the AHA (which include the AHA's right to publish the entry in print as well as any other medium). Submissions must be no more than 150 words. All submissions must have complete contact information for the author(s).
When copyediting articles, editors use the 16th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style and the 11th edition of Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. The editors seek to remove redundancies and errors-if any-in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
