Teaching with Primary Sources
The American Historical Association is proud to partner with the Library of Congress in serving the Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) Mid-Atlantic/US Territories Region. The TPS grant program furthers the Library’s mission to engage, inspire, and inform audiences across the country with a universal and enduring source of knowledge and creativity. Through the TPS Regional Program, the AHA issues subawards to a wide variety of organizations that plan to integrate the Library’s resources into educational programs.

AHA Surveys: Historians Teaching Off the Tenure Track
The AHA Professional Division seeks to collect information about the working conditions of historians employed as contingent faculty. We have developed two surveys, one for non-tenure-track faculty (NTT) and one for department chairs. We invite historians to complete the appropriate survey by May 1, 2025.

#AHRSyllabus
The #AHRSyllabus is a collaborative project designed to help teachers and students look "under the hood" at how historians do the work of history. Each contribution features a practical hands-on teaching module that foregrounds innovative uses of historical method in the classroom.
Perspectives on History is the newsmagazine of the AHA and is the principal source for news and information about the discipline of history. Since 1962, Perspectives has promoted our work by publishing articles and commentary on all aspects of the historical discipline.
