Congratulations to AHA member Sarah Stein (Univ. of California, Los Angeles), who was awarded the 2025 Salo W. and Jeannette M. Baron Award for Scholarly Excellence in Research on the Jewish Experience. Stein was selected for her work focusing on “Jewish experiences in the Mediterranean and Sephardi Studies, including crucial topics such as the Nazi persecution in North Africa,” which “has reshaped our understanding of Jewish history and her commitment to research is matched by her love of teaching.”
