Allysa Crum is a student at Creek Wood High School in Tennessee. She produced this video for a class assignment. She writes, “This started as a class assignment, but when I took it one step forward, it became an opportunity to share my passion—not just to get a good grade, but to prove that the occupation I and countless others pursue is meaningful and relevant in today’s society. Through this video, I want to show that historians and the study of history are needed, and organizations like the American Historical Association are key in helping people continue to do the important work of sharing the past with the world.”
