The AHA’s report, American Lesson Plan: Teaching US History in Secondary Schools, was featured in an Education Week article by Sarah Schwartz on a “wave of new legislation aim[ing] to ban DEI in public schools.” Despite the claims of these bills, the report found little evidence that “partisan and ideological teaching” is a widespread problem in K–12 classrooms in the US.
